Amy Grensted is the owner and creator of The Glow Bungalow Skin and Body Lounge, an elegant beachside retreat for skin and body care. Amy’s interest and eventual passion in skincare began over 10 years ago in New York City. She attended Atelier Institute of Esthetics located on the famed Park Avenue in Manhattan. There she confirmed her calling, graduating first in her class with honors. She immediately began working for Chelsea Eye and Associates Medical Spa under the personal guidance of Carol Lea Burns (at the time rated “Best Esthetician” by New York Magazine). In 2001 Amy relocated to Los Angeles to balance her expertise by entering the “Luxury” spa industry. After earning a position as a premiere esthetician with the Four Seasons of Beverly Hills, she enjoyed four years catering to Hollywood’s A-list celebrities and international royalty and socialites. Steeped in experience from both coasts and a comprehensive knowledge of both disciplines of the spa industry, Amy successfully opened her first skin care studio in neighboring Brentwood. After the birth of her twin children, she and her husband decided to relocate her family and business to his hometown of Encinitas, California. Eager to jump in, Amy found a home (2005-2007) at the largest medical spa in the country, the acclaimed La Jolla Spa MD, headed by Dr. Mitchell Goldman (named by his profession as one of the top ten dermatologists in the world). Two years later and now firmly planted along the sunny seashore of San Diego’s coastline, Amy has proudly opened The Glow Bungalow Skin and Body Lounge in Solana Beach’s richly decorated Design District.  Here along Cedros Avenue she has put together a dedicated team of estheticians and massage therapists who share Amy’s attention to serious skin and body care. Always combining the most innovative medical facial therapies with the most luxurious skin and body treatments, Amy continues to create her own signature blend of total Body and Skin care. Her vision of your perfect beauty is finally realized with the addition of her gift boutique, a collection of Amy’s personally selected accessories and skincare products to add the extra touch of newness that carries you back into your world glowing.
